We believe that education and training opportunities for the trades in construction should be accessible to everyone. There should be no barriers for anyone who wants to pursue a career in this dynamic industry, not even financial constraints. To realize our goal, Build Smart Institute offers the Build U Scholarship to interested and qualified learners aged 18 years old and above, subject to available funding.
This scholarship is generously supported by benevolent donors, such as the
Home Builders Association of Virginia Education Foundation and the
Roanoke Regional Home Builder’s Association. Through this student grant, individuals will be provided with the access they need to receive skills trades training and, ultimately, enter a career in construction.
The Build U Scholarship supports the tuition cost for
CORE Fundamentals of Construction and other training courses, such as the following:
• Carpentry Courses
• Electrical Courses
• Heating and Cooling Courses
• Plumbing Courses
