We are proud to be approved by the Virginia
Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) to provide Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) for students with disabilities ages 14–22. Our
hands-on training includes OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, CORE Fundamentals of Construction NCCER modules, and essential home maintenance skills. Students gain confidence, earn certifications, and explore real career pathways.
Build Smart Institute offers the Future Builders Academy summer program each year to students ages 14 to 19 who can participate in engaging, hands-on construction camps all at no charge thanks to generous sponsors. The camps are designed for students across Virginia who are interested in learning more about the many rewarding careers available in the construction industry in a fun, safe, and immersive experience.
