Students explore the world of concrete construction during Concrete Camp. They will learn essential job-site safety practices, gain hands-on experience pouring and finishing concrete, and hear directly from professionals about career opportunities within the industry.
Carpentry Camp focuses on carpentry and woodworking skills. Students work together to build a structure while learning foundational carpentry techniques and exploring careers in the carpentry trade.
Electrical Camp immerses students in the world of electricity. Participants work as a team to complete electrical projects while exploring the fundamentals of electricity and learning about careers in the electrical trade.

Participants benefit from a customized learning experience led by industry experts, including Build Smart Institute instructors. In addition to hands-on training, students:
- Receive lunch each day
- May receive transportation assistance
- Learn more about educational and career opportunities available after high school
The camps are designed for students across Virginia who are interested in learning more about concrete, carpentry, and electrical work, as well as the many rewarding careers available in the construction industry.
Space is limited. Interested students and families are encouraged to enroll early each spring!
