Build Smart Institute Celebrates Class of 2024

On June 6, 2024, Build Smart Institute celebrated its fourth annual graduation ceremony. During the ceremony, the Class of 2024 was recognized for their outstanding achievements. 

Fifty-five graduates received honors for completing the rigorous training required to earn their National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) credentials in CORE Fundamentals of Construction, Carpentry, and Electrical.

Additionally, four students were honored with Founders Awards:

• Hayley Graham received the On the Rise Award for demonstrating leadership while in the program.
• Isaiah Lankford received the Exemplar Award leadership amongst his fellow trainees.
• Lashman Karthik received the Perseverance Award for his persistence and dedication during the CORE program.
• Casey Speck was awarded the Founder’s Award – Industry for her dedication as she prepared for a career in the construction industry.
• Santiago Parades received the Founder’s Award – Trade for his dedication as he learned a trade within the construction industry.

The ceremony was a joyful occasion, with family members, community partners, and the Build Smart Institute team coming together to celebrate the incredible success of these graduates. Their hard work and dedication pave the way for a bright future.
