Build Smart recognizes the importance of providing accessible training. Through partnerships with community organizations, training is available to youth and adults. Our construction trade school’s partners include Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley, Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, and the Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board.
In 2022, Build Smart began working with Ferrum College on a new partnership. The focus was to create training in technical trades and construction management. Set to launch in fall 2024, the program will include customized e-learning and hands-on training. Pathways include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and more.
