Advance Your Career - Apply for a Build U Scholarship

The Build U Scholarship is generously supported by donors including the Home Builders Association of Virginia Education Foundation and the Roanoke Regional Home Builder’s Association. The scholarship seeks to provide individuals with the access they need to receive skills trades training and ultimately enter a career in construction.

The scholarship supports the cost of tuition for the CORE Fundamentals of Construction and other training courses.

Build U Scholarship Recipient Profile

While in high school, Isaiah, began exploring career pathways in the trades. He took courses at Build Smart Institute and and is now successfully employed in the trades. Isaiah's success would not have been possible without a Build U Scholarship and its generous donors. The scholarship funded his education at Build Smart and allowed him to gain the skills need to meet the needs of the construction trades workforce where he is now employed.
